Wayfinding Signs

Wayfinding: Get Them There (Without an Argument)

What is the standard for directional arrows?

It sounds simple, but arrows can be confusing.

  • Arrow UP: Means "Straight On" (or go up a level).
  • Arrow DOWN: Means "Straight On" (if the sign is above a door) OR "Go down stairs."
  • Arrow 45°: Means "Up/Down stairs" or "Veer this way."

Why Material Matters here:

Wayfinding signs are often in high-traffic corridors. We recommend Rigid Plastic or Aluminium Composite rather than stickers, as they cover up scuffs on the wall and look cleaner for longer.

Perfect For:

  • Large warehouses (Aisle markers).
  • Office blocks (Department directories)
  • Events (Toilets / Exits).
